| "Local Color" is inspired by the true story of a renowned artist who looks back on the summer of his defining year, when he befriended an elderly genius painter who turned his his back not only on art, but life.
Over the course of the summer, the student's enthusiasm and innocence rekindles the master's passion. Together, they give one another a priceless gift. The student learns to see the world through the eyes of an artist, while the master remembers to see and embrace life and its beauty.
