| 39 Pounds of Love is an emotional roller coaster, a fascinating, humorous and truly inspirational ride through life with a man who overcame his fate by his laughter, wisdom, sheer determination and will to love.
Ami weighs 39 Pounds, due to a rare form of muscular dystrophy. At birth, his doctor insisted that Ami wouldn’t live past the age of 6. At the age of 34, Ami now lives in Israel and works as a 3D animator. He is considered one of the world's greatest medical miracles.
He is unable to move any part of his body except for one finger he uses to work his computer magic. But that doesn't stop him from living his life. In fact, it encourages him and all those around him, to live their lives more fully.
Leaving behind his unrequited love Christina, Ami is determined to return to the United States to show the world that he is alive! Along his journey, Ami will confront the doctor who told his mother he wouldn't survive, make peace with his estranged brother, and fulfil his ultimate dream - to ride a Harley Davidson.
