Synopsis
In a distant time and place, power is decided by a cruel game in which two teams composed of warriors similar to gladiators fight in a vast arena. Using trickery and corruption, the ambitious Sahr gathers an immense share of power, ruling with tyranny and making his team nearly invincible. Tyr, a military leader, retreats to an island with his beloved Elanor but eventually chooses to take up the challenge of restoring justice. Sahr’s power, however, is reinforced by the possession of an ancient, magical symbol created by a now extinct culture: the Claang.

Bangor, Sahr’s ferocious champion, defeats Tyr in a duel and Tyr is believed to be dead. In reality, the hero is secretly entrusted to the care of an old teacher who passes on to him the capacity of thwarting the power of the Claang. Thirsty for revenge and with the aim of regaining Elanor (who has become Bangor’s unwilling companion), Tyr trains a group of ex-combatants and ordinary common people repressed under Sahr’s rule.

Challenging Sahr once again, Tyr enters the arena for a final desperate game. By carrying out this undertaking however, he involuntary intertwines his destiny with the very symbol of Claang, an object of immense yet forgotten power capable of influencing the course of history.
