Based in Atlanta, Georgia, VIREON FILMS carries forward the creative work of Zoe Films, founded by producer and director Victoria lynn Weston. Her passion lies in telling stories about women who challenge expectations, the truths people conceal, and the courage it takes to be heard. Through documentaries, narrative shorts, and cinematic audio drama, Weston explores the intersection of personal freedom, social justice, and human connection.
Her documentary, America’s Victoria, Remembering Victoria Woodhull, introduced audiences to the first woman to run for U.S. president through PBS broadcasts and educational screenings in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Weston continued exploring Woodhull’s extraordinary life through the narrative short FREE LOVER and the proof-of-concept film THE WOODHULL.
Her work also includes THREADS OF DESTINY, an anthology bringing together FREE LOVER, THROUGH THE GLASS, and THE NOTE; three short films exploring the unseen connections, choices, and revelations that shape our lives.
Currently in development, OBSCENE is a two-hour episodic audio drama conceived as a dramatic courtroom reckoning, the project brings Weston’s longstanding passion and asks: Who gets to define morality and whose voice gets heard?
Weston also founded the Zoie Films Festival, an early online showcase for independent films from around the world. That pioneering spirit continues at VIREON FILMS, where compelling stories and new forms of storytelling share a single purpose: to move audiences and spark conversation.
