Boundaries

Überblick

Set in suburban California, Boundaries offers an intimate portrait of a group of mostly South Asian women navigating the joys, struggles and complexities of everyday life. Connected by cricket, these women bring different experiences and perspectives to a shared journey that reaches well beyond the game.

As their lives intersect on and off the pitch, personal challenges unfold alongside moments of friendship, humor and discovery. The cricket field becomes a place to explore their strengths, question expectations and reconsider the limits that shape their lives. Through good times and difficult ones, their experiences reflect the challenges of finding a place within a community while preserving an individual sense of self.

At its heart, Boundaries is an ensemble sports drama about women, diasporic life and personal growth. Following its “Women in Blue” as they break some boundaries and establish others, the film explores the courage required to recognize one’s own worth—and the possibilities that emerge when women make room for themselves, for one another and for the lives they hope to lead.
