When Ada breaks off her engagement to Chima, her hardworking but financially struggling fiancé, she believes she is choosing a better life. Tired of waiting for success and pressured by friends who mock Chima’s lack of wealth, she convinces herself she deserves a man who can give her the luxury she dreams of.

Then she meets Raymond — polished, confident, and dripping with the appearance of wealth. Designer clothes, flashy cars, expensive restaurants… everything about him screams “upgrade.” Blinded by the lifestyle he flaunts, Ada rushes into a relationship with him, certain she has finally found the man who can give her the life she deserves.
