The Rebooted

Überblick

Superhero fatigue has set in, and a desperate media conglomerate goes all in: “The Superhero Experience”, an immersive, unscripted reality event that throws influencers, fans and forgotten icons into a twisted superhero storyline. The players: a cynical critic, an ageing former superhero star, a comic book superfan, a suburban family couple and a viral model – all unknowingly cast as pawns in a game built to manipulate emotion, provoke chaos and win back a dying franchise.

As reality distorts and comic book tropes bleed into their lives – costumes, backstories, AI-generated plotlines and very real danger – they must decide whether to play along, rebel or escape. But when even trauma is branded content and every move might be someone else’s script, what does it really mean to be a hero?

Fast, funny and unexpectedly moving, The Rebooted skewers celebrity culture, toxic fandom and corporate storytelling – while revealing its players as deeply human heroes.
