Matthew, a career white collar worker, is on the run after throwing his boss out a window in a heated moment while being kept late at work...yet again. Aided by his cousin, he hides out in the woods with some meager camping supplies while trying to convince his wife to bring his boat so they can flee the country together. She refuses and gives him an ultimatum: turn himself in within 24 hours, or she will.

Matthew camps out near the place where he proposed to his wife and debates the consequences of his actions with his cousin...and a Spartan warrior who lives in his mind. He attempts various survival techniques to see how long he could last on the run, while rationalizing his murderous actions to ease his conscience. His wife shows up with the boat, but with the intention of bringing him home to face justice. Matthew refuses to turn himself in and everyone abandons him.

After running out of reasons to stay on the lam, Matthew decides he can't live without his wife and decides to turn himself in. His wife and cousin arrive with the good news that his boss survived the fall...as they only worked on the second floor of the office building. It turns out it wasn't murder after all...only assault and battery!
