Playtime is a Paris-based international sales, financing and production company active since 1997 and committed to co-finance, market, and distribute high-profile works by renowned filmmakers.

Playtime is known for the quality of its artistic choices and dedication to innovative content. Our approach reflects the wish of international audiences, as well as our inclination for visionary creative voices. Recent successes include THE RICHEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD (Cannes Official Selection, 2025) THE QUIET SON (Best Actor, Venice 2024), BLACK DOG (Un Certain Regard Award, Cannes 2024), ABOUT DRY GRASSES (Best Actress, Cannes 2023), BY THE GRACE OF GOD (Silver Bear, Berlin 2019), 120 BPM (Grand Prix, Cannes 2017), SON OF SAUL (2016 Oscar Winner).

As a director-driven entity we pride ourselves in partnering with talents such as François Ozon, Nanni Moretti, Jacques Audiard, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Céline Sciamma, Tarik Saleh, Robin Campillo, Naomi Kawase, Rithy Panh, László Nemes, Raoul Peck, Olivier Assayas, Leos Carax among many others. Similarly, we have always kept a cinephile spirit to our activity and take great pride and care of our classic library which constitutes nearly half of our 800 titles.

In addition to the Paris office, the Playtime Group includes three international highly specialized sales/financing companies: Films Boutique in Berlin, Be For Films in Brussels, Global Constellation in Munich. Since 2023, the Playtime Group is part of the European studio Vuelta.

The Playtime Group is also an active producer, under the Playtime Production banner (NOBODY’S SON, 2025), as well as through independent labels Maneki Films, Parallel 45 and 27Tribe.
