Fast Lane to Eden is an award-winning screenplay. Two young grifters, Kelly and Cassidy, are carving their way through a myriad of hapless victims in America's mid-west without a care in the world. On the night that Kelly asks Cassidy to marry him, she disappears with a key Kelly he has had hanging round his neck since childhood, a key to a safe deposit box he has inherited off his grandmother. FAST LANE TO EDEN joins them three years after this event when Kelly and his sidekick, Quaid are hunting Cassidy down to kill her and retrieve the key in New Mexico.

The two lead characters are a young, couple of con-artists and lovers, Kelly and Cassidy and we join them three years after a major event which split up their partnership, with Kelly now hunting Cassidy down for a key she stole off him to a safe deposit box which he inherited in childhood. Somewhere on the outskirts of Albuquerque, Kelly and his new, trigger-happy, sidekick, Quaid find Cassidy masquerading as a primary school teacher in a rural school, and proceed to chase her across the State by any means possible, retrieve the the key, kill her and open to deposit box to his inheritance.The beguiling Cassidy uses every trick in the book to evade her two pursuers: changing appearance into a trailer trash hooker, fleecing an unsuspecting cowboy out of his $10,000 winnings from a nearby Casino, and stealing a hot rod to get out of the State. After a dramatic car chase, shoot out and jail bust, Kelly and Quaid eventually snatch Cassidy from under the noses of the local police who have arrested her, and bundle her off to a nearby motel to retrieve the key, only to discover that she has swallowed it to stop anyone from getting hold of it. While holed up in a motel room waiting for the key to make an appearance, the three of them find themselves surrounded by the police and following a major shoot-out, Cassidy manages to escape, but bizarrely turns around in the getaway car and saves Kelly from the clutches of the police.The two of them are then locked together, arguing like cat and mouse and on the run from law enforcement, desperate to get to the bank and open the safe deposit box which only Cassidy holds in her stomach. With the police and an assassin from the past closing in on them, their tangled love life and professional life exploding around them, the lure of untold riches in the safe deposit box is too much to ignore for both of them.
