Get Up, Pick Up Your Bed & Walk

Synopsis

When Jesus spoke to the man at the pool of Bethesda, He didn’t give him a suggestion — He gave him a command of obedience. The man had been lying there for 38 years, stuck in the same place, surrounded by the same limitations, repeating the same excuses. But one word from Jesus changed everything.

“Get up, pick up your bed, and walk.”

Obedience is the bridge between where you are and where God is calling you. It doesn’t always make sense. It doesn’t always feel comfortable. It doesn’t always look possible. But obedience activates what faith expects.

The man could have argued. He could have explained his condition. He could have stayed in the familiar. But instead, he obeyed — and the moment he obeyed, strength entered his legs, healing entered his body, and purpose entered his future.

Some breakthroughs don’t come from praying harder — they come from obeying faster.

God is telling someone today: Get up from fear. Get up from delay. Get up from excuses. Pick up the thing that once held you down, and walk into the future I prepared for you.

Your miracle is on the other side of obedience.
