Synopsis

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra is a superhero-fantasy movie that marks the beginning of an ambitious mythic universe rooted in folklore.

• The protagonist, Chandra, is a mysterious woman with supernatural powers. She moves to India from Sweden, where she works at a café, but only at night. Her neighbor, Sunny, along with his friends, becomes intrigued by her odd behavior and haunted aura.
• Meanwhile, there is a sinister organ-trafficking mafia at work, and a police officer is involved with it. As events escalate, Chandra’s hidden past comes to light: she is not an ordinary being, but one with deep mythological roots.
• The film interweaves flashbacks and folklore to reveal how she came to be what she is. In the climactic moments, the battle between these forces brings Chandra face to face with her destiny.
• A mid-credits and post-credits sequence hints at a larger universe: In a mid-credits scene, an “Odiyan” (a supernatural being) named Charlie eliminates traffickers.
• The post-credits scene reveals that a man named Michael is being questioned about archaeologists who vanished in a cave. The only recovered evidence is a photo of a man identical to Michael, revealing he may have 389 siblings.
