Synopsis

The first Joshua led Israel into Canaan. The True Joshua leads us into eternal rest.

Long before Jesus walked the earth, God planted a prophetic shadow in the life of a man named Joshua — the warrior who led Israel across the Jordan, conquered kingdoms, and brought God’s people into the Promised Land. But Joshua’s victories were only a glimpse of a greater Deliverer to come.

Where Joshua fought earthly battles, Jesus fights for the soul. Where Joshua gave Israel a temporary inheritance, Jesus gives an eternal one. Where Joshua led them into a land flowing with milk and honey, Jesus leads us into a life overflowing with grace and truth.

The name Joshua means “The Lord saves.” The name Jesus is the same — Yeshua, salvation Himself.
