Maddie and Leo are a successful inner-city couple who want to start a family but never actually
see each other. After both lose their jobs on the same day, they stumble upon Kai — a
smouldering kombucha artisan raking in the cash. Determined to rekindle their relationship, they
swipe his prized culture and launch their own kombucha empire. But when their brew takes on a
life of its own — behaving more like a squirmy newborn than a humble starter culture — their
