Pride is one of the greatest enemies of spiritual growth. It convinces us that we are self-sufficient and have no need for God or others. The Bible declares, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6. When pride rules the heart, wisdom departs and destruction follows. True greatness is not found in exalting ourselves but in serving others with humility.
Jesus, though Lord of all, humbled Himself and became a servant. His life teaches us that humility attracts God's favor and opens doors that pride can never unlock. Let us guard our hearts against arrogance, remain teachable, and give God all the glory for our achievements. When we walk in humility, God lifts us up in due season and guides us into lasting honor and peace.
