Synopsis
From the stars and personalities behind The Sopranos, Goodfellas, A Bronx Tale and more to alpacas, horses, and life on a working animal sanctuary, The Front Row: New Jersey takes audiences across the Garden State to discover just how many different versions of New Jersey exist beyond the stereotypes.
Hosted by Joe Gawalis and Chris Victor, the journey brings audiences face-to-face with actors and personalities connected to some of the most iconic films and television series associated with Italian-American entertainment. Through interviews, reunions, candid conversations, and plenty of laughs, the hosts celebrate generations of entertainment and the people behind some of the screen’s most memorable characters.
The episode then shifts into an entirely different world at Celestial Acres, a working New Jersey animal sanctuary filled with alpacas, horses, chickens, roosters, and an unforgettable family behind the property. Joe and Chris step into life on the farm while exploring animal rescue, community, family dynamics, and one of the Garden State’s more unexpected destinations.
From there, the journey heads to Asbury Park, combining the city’s music, food, boardwalk culture, and independent film community with coverage surrounding the Garden State Film Festival. Stops include Asbury Lanes, the Silverball Retro Arcade, and the Iron Whale, where the hosts sit down with restaurateur and musician Tim McLoone, alongside coverage surrounding Missy’s Voice.
From iconic actors and independent filmmakers to Jersey Shore culture, local institutions, animal rescue, and unexpected destinations, The Front Row: New Jersey shows audiences a Garden State far more diverse than the version they think they already know.
