When retirement, coupled with divorce and an estranged daughter, exacerbates the despair in life, a solitary man attempts to commit suicide. Fortunately, a stray dog and an animal shelter volunteer find and rescue him. After joining the volunteers to rescue abandoned animals, he embarks on a new journey to salvation.
