The period in the midst of the Heian era, the nobles live lavishly in the imperial palace of Kyoto.
There, Seimei Abe (Tomoya Nakamura) was the imperial appointed Yin-Yang Master. With his enchanted powers, he is rumoured to be a Fox-Human half-breed and they call him the “Fox-Seimei”.
One night, he rushes to the Palace after seeing a malefic with nine tails, which was a sign of it appearing. From their resentment towards Seimei, the nobles elects Toshikaze Kamono (Osamu Mukai), the heir from an original Yin-Yang family who just returned home from his mainland studies to hunt the “Nine-tailed fox.”
But the fox had already possessed his body and infiltrated the palace.
A Fox Spirit, Tao (Riho Yoshioka) who pursued the fox from the mainland joins Seimei. But the fox uses his past history with Tao to his advantage and derails Seimei. The hunt between the two goes back and forth…
