A small village is shocked by the disappearance of a little girl and the suicide of Alice, a young woman found dead in the woods. The two cases are connected, but no one knows yet. Sara, a successful writer and Alice's close friend, decides to come back to her childhood places and find out what happened. As she investigates, she is forced to confront the demons of a forgotten past.
