Inspired by the life and work of Attorney David A. Robinson Sr., The Blue Code: TrueCrime DocuSeries peels back the layers of America’s most complex relationship—between citizens and those sworn to protect them. Inspired by Robinson’s book, “You See a Hero, I See a Human Being,” the docuseries invites viewers into a powerful and personal examination of justice through the eyes of a man who served within the system for 13 years as a Detroit Police Officer before dedicating over four decades to challenging it as a Civil Rights Attorney. 

The Blue Code explores real-life cases of police brutality, misconduct, and wrongful death tried by Robinson, revealing the hidden machinery of accountability, corruption, and truth inside one of America’s toughest cities. Through never-before-seen evidence, from body and dash cam footage to court transcripts, intimate family testimonials, Police Officers, Medical Professionals and more.  Each episode breaks down the anatomy of a case, showing how trauma reverberates through communities, institutions, and the human heart.
