Give and Take is about the art of parenting - or lack thereof. It's often fulfilling, usually messy, and sometimes requires extreme action. And that means occasionally we have to illegally abduct our child in order to save them from a terrible decision that will affect the rest of their life. That's what the inadequate father of his rebellious daughter does in the story of Give and Take. The impromptu adventure tests the future of their relationship, as she unexpectedly pressures her father to come to terms with the likely divorce between him and her mother.
