Against a rich Seattle  & Washington State backdrop, In Flight We Trust: An American Exodus documents three ordinary American families as they  articulate challenges living in the U.S.A. and their eventual decision to migrate around the world. A new film directed by Ron Podmore (“Best of Central America” travel documentary series). 

In Flight We Trust: An American Exodus® is filmed over the course of a year; each family provides authentic  conversations surrounding the financial challenges they are up against living in an increasingly economically unsustainble  country in which the fundamentals of finances no longer work for them.  Meet Bruce; a retiree. He struggles to accept why he's paying for additional health insurance, despite being  on Medicare and Medicare Supplemental. 

Also on board is Millenial and three-jobs a week, Allie.  She convinced her daughter, along with her daughter's grandparents (and two rabbits!) to migrate for a calmer pace of life. Then there is Joy and Scott, long-time coastal residents & caregivers. Joy is newly retired and Scott is originally from Newark, Ohio. They have multiple concerns for family members' literal safety and believe there isn't much of a future living where they currently call home.  They can never sleep soundly at night. 

Throughout the year, In Flight We Trust dialogues and follows the  families to the new countries they call home. Each family reflects upon the arduous paperwork, visa application journey, placement interviews, etc., that all endured. Their  stark answers promise to provoke and inspire that life indeed, can begin outside your comfort zone.  

This dark, albeit, timely  subject is punctuated with Ron's dry, humor to lighten what otherwise could be a somber subject. MPAA potential rating of PG and/or PG-13.
