Missy’s Voice is a music-driven coming-of-age drama about a shy young singer who has been silenced by bullying and must find the confidence to believe in herself, trust her voice, and step into the person she is capable of becoming.
At the center of the property is a group of five emerging young female performers, creating an ensemble-driven story focused on friendship, identity, resilience, self-worth, confidence, and the pressures young people face while trying to discover who they are.
The property is supported by an award-winning filmed proof of concept, a completed feature screenplay, original music, developed characters, and an expanding educational strategy designed to extend the themes of the film beyond the screen.
The proof of concept has screened at film festivals including the Garden State Film Festival and Ridgefield Independent Film Festival and was named Best Picture in the 9th Annual NYWIFT Online Shorts Festival Presented by iWomanTV.
Building on LCP Studios’ experience developing Social-Emotional Learning content for younger students, Missy’s Voice is also being developed with a grades 9–12 educational component focused on topics including bullying, identity, resilience, empathy, confidence, self-worth, friendship, and finding your voice.
The long-term vision is to connect the feature film with music, education, youth empowerment, anti-bullying initiatives, school and community partnerships, licensing, and other strategic opportunities that allow the property to create both entertainment value and real-world impact.
