In the aftermath of a tragic accident that claims their parents, eldest sister Sadie is forced to become the guardian of her younger siblings, Emily and Finn. Still struggling to hold their fractured family together, she sees an opportunity for a fresh start when they inherit a long-forgotten house left to them by their father.

Soon after their arrival, Finn begins glimpsing a ghastly, crooked, eyeless apparition resembling an old chimney sweep, harbouring within the hollow spaces of the house. Sadie and Emily dismiss his sightings as nightmares, until strange traces of ash and handprints begin to appear.

When two local builders arrive to assess the ageing property, they discover hidden voids within the walls and use an inspection camera to explore them. What begins as a routine investigation becomes increasingly disturbing when the inspection camera captures fleeting glimpses of a figure moving within the walls, the same figure Finn has been claiming to see.

When Finn suddenly disappears, Sadie and Emily are forced to confront the terrifying truth: the Crooked Man is real. What began as an unsettling presence in the house becomes a fight for survival as the spirit intensifies its pursuit, leaving the sisters with nowhere to turn but each other. Their search leads them to a hidden passage, where a long-buried secret about their family begins to emerge. What they discover forces Sadie to question everything she believed about her parents' deaths and reveals why the Crooked Man has returned.

When Emily is taken as well, Sadie is left alone to find her siblings and confront the Crooked Man. With both Emily and Finn in its grasp, she must venture into the darkness, determined to save the only family she has left.
