O Sumário

Disgraced Ivy League lawyer Mitch Donnelly returns to his hometown of Green Valley just before Christmas, reeling from a career collapse and the unresolved grief of his mother’s passing. Hoping for a quiet reset with his sister Daisy and their widowed father, Bill—the town’s beloved pastor—Mitch instead finds himself in the middle of a growing controversy: the town’s historic church, where his mother once sang, is set to be condemned and demolished.

Behind the decision is Oscar, the embittered city manager still grieving the loss of his wife to cancer—and the estranged father of Aimee, Mitch’s former high school sweetheart. Though Aimee and Daisy urge him to help, Mitch resists, favoring progress over sentiment—until a midnight talk with his father and a rediscovery of his roots stir something deeper.

When legal strategies fail, Aimee challenges Mitch to take a different approach. Together, they mobilize the quirky townspeople—including the ever-gossiping Coffee Gang and a spirited church choir—to launch a heartfelt campaign of kindness aimed at softening Oscar’s heart. Tensions escalate until Bill and Oscar collapse from simultaneous heart attacks after a heated confrontation, forcing both families to confront years of pain and regret. In the hospital, healing begins.

Then, on the night of the Christmas concert—with bulldozers waiting at the property line—Oscar walks into the church and places the deed in the offering plate, halting the demolition. As the choir sings and the town celebrates, Mitch and Aimee stand at the church doors, arm in arm—reminded that sometimes, home isn’t just where you started, it’s where you choose to begin again.
