A young couple, Saina and David, moves into a lavish penthouse in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, hoping to begin a new life with their baby. But their dream soon takes a dark turn when Saina begins to hear strange noises and catch fleeting shadows in their pristine new home. Each day, the line between reality and her fears grows thinner.
Certain that something is wrong with the apartment, Saina turns to her husband. David — a successful businessman — dismisses her concerns as imagination fueled by postpartum depression and exhaustion. He insists that the noises are typical for high-rises. Desperate, Saina performs a cleansing ritual from her Yakut heritage, offering food to the spirits in an attempt to restore peace.
But when she encounters the ghost of a young girl and feels an invisible force haunting the penthouse, her fear escalates. She pleads with David to move, admitting she never wanted to live so high above the ground, always afraid of heights. David refuses, calling it all an illusion, and begins to isolate her from friends and family, claiming her “nonsense” threatens their reputation and stability.
Alone and increasingly fragile, Saina starts to doubt herself, convinced David might be right — perhaps she is losing her mind. On his advice, she visits a psychotherapist, who diagnoses her with a mental disorder and prescribes treatment.
