Synopsis
Ten-year-old Tommy Aguilar’s life changes when he discovers a portal to Alfrin, the mystical world of his favorite cartoon. Alongside a memorable group of new friends, Tommy must confront the Shadow King while learning important lessons about courage, grit, empathy, hope, forgiveness, responsibility, and standing up to bullying.
Blending action, fantasy, comedy, and heart, Courageous Tommy is designed to entertain children while helping them better understand the emotional and social challenges they face in their own lives.
Developed as both an animated entertainment franchise and educational property, Courageous Tommy is supported by a bestselling published graphic novel that reached number one in its Amazon category, completed animated-series scripts, animation and technology demonstrations, original music, a playable video-game prototype, developed character and world assets, and merchandise prototypes.
The larger franchise is designed so that animation, education, publishing, gaming, music, licensing, and consumer products can support one another, giving children and families multiple ways to discover and engage with the same characters and world.
A complete nine-month Social-Emotional Learning curriculum for grades 2–5 has also been developed around the property. Each month introduces a different theme, including courage, grit, empathy, responsibility, self-control, integrity, hope, forgiveness, and discovering the hero within.
The program combines short animated stories with guided discussions, student activities, family engagement, reinforcement lessons, and outcome tracking. Educational pilot discussions and implementation planning are underway with youth organizations as LCP Studios develops the program toward broader school and community use.
