ORIGINS follows Reno, a character from the original film who helped a young couple escape an encounter with the ghost Watabe. Reno tells the story of his first encounter with the malevolent ghost. In Thailand during the 1960s, Reno returns from combat to reunite with his young lover, Nak, but soon discovers she has been possessed by an evil force. Reno must find a way to save her before Watabe takes another soul.
