When Mary broke her alabaster box and poured the costly perfume on Jesus’ feet, the disciples called it a waste. But what they called waste, Jesus called worship. Mary understood something they didn’t — love gives extravagantly. Love doesn’t calculate, compare, or hold back. Love pours out everything.

To others, your devotion may look excessive. Your prayers may seem unnecessary. Your giving may look unreasonable. Your commitment may look like “too much.” But when you are in love with Jesus, nothing offered to Him is ever wasted.

Mary’s act teaches us that true worship is costly. It requires surrender, sacrifice, and a willingness to be misunderstood. Yet Jesus defended her, saying, “She has done a beautiful thing to Me.” Heaven sees value where people see waste.

So give Him your best. Pour out your time, your talent, your treasure, your heart. When it’s for Jesus, it’s never waste — it’s worship.
