Chimera State follows Anna and Sol, a couple drifting apart as they travel through the mountains of Oaxaca, burdened by wounds they no longer know how to heal. As the journey wears on, time begins to slip. Memories surface with no warning, and reality subtly reshapes itself around them. Caught in a waking nightmare where past and present collide, the couple moves through conflict, intimacy, and disorientation, unsure of what has been lost and what still lingers. Drawn into an intense temazcal ceremony deep in the forest, physical exhaustion and emotional exposure strip away their usual defences. As resistance falls, old timelines collapse and long-avoided truths rise to the surface.

They emerge changed. Carrying the realization that love does not disappear when it breaks, it just becomes something else.
