Adapted from Mark McLaughlin’s feature screenplay SWAT: Fear Sweat & Bullets, the series “METRO” is a high-octane police procedural that follows Officer Kim Baxter, a fierce and determined LAPD officer battling to prove her worth in both the crime-ridden streets of Los Angeles and the male-dominated world of law enforcement. As Kim takes on life-threatening situations, she must also confront the deeply ingrained sexism of her colleagues and superiors, all while grappling with failed relationships and her own emotional scars from a troubled past in the foster care system. Balancing intense action with personal drama, METRO dives deep into Kim’s fight for respect, survival, and justice, as she struggles to become LAPD’s first woman in SWAT.
