Big Apple
Big Apple, Darlington Ruben
The luxurious Grand Crest Hotel is packed with guests when a disturbing discovery is made.
At dawn, a lady enters Room 306 and finds a young woman, Vanessa Okafor, dead on the floor.
There are no signs of forced entry.
No murder weapon is found.
The police initially suspect suicide, but veteran homicide detective Tunde Adebayo notices several inconsistencies. A broken wristwatch, two drinking glasses, and a missing cell phone suggest someone else was in the room shortly before Vanessa died.
