Sinopsis

BLACK VELVET is an action drama about two fiercely independent women—Maggie Black and Amara Velvet—who own and operate Black Velvet, a bar/restaurant that doubles as a strategic extension of their small liquor store business. Smart, tough, and unafraid to take risks, the duo brings their sharp business acumen and streetwise instincts to Atlanta’s competitive nightlife scene.

When an unexpected issue arises and threatens their business, they are forced to rethink their entire business model. Just as things look dire, their creativity and ingenuity excels and becomes the catalyst that pushes them toward a major decision: expand their vision or risk losing control of the spaces they’ve worked hard to build.

With rival bar owners watching, industry players plotting, and a shadowy powerful family surfacing, Black and Velvet will have to fight—literally and figuratively—to protect what’s theirs.
