Sinopsis

Blessed: Live, Laugh, Run! is a Midwest Gothic horror feature inspired by real-life events. When Ashley, a poor college student, accepts a nanny job in rural Indiana, she is kidnapped by a family that imprisons young women and forces them to bear children. Nomi, a survivor of sexual assault seeking an abortion, unknowingly walks into the same trap. As their paths converge, both women must navigate captivity, control, and fear while searching for a way out. Grounded in realism rather than spectacle, the film focuses on psychological tension, character agency, and survival. Designed for audiences drawn to women-centered horror, true-crime–inspired narratives, and escape stories rooted in situations that feel disturbingly possible, the film explores fear born from isolation, coercion, and silence.
