Set on Christmas Eve in a quirky Melbourne apartment, Christmas With Iggy follows Holly Clock, a once-festive obsessive, now hollowed by grief, a year after the sudden death of her charming lawyer fiancé, Iggy. Her Christmas tree, usually glittering with ornaments that marked their life together, stood bare.
Then, in a twist of magic, Iggy’s ghost appears, still handsome, still exhausting, returned for one night with a mission: to help Holly retell their love story, move on, and find hope in a future without him. Together, they decorate her tree, each ornament sparking a memory: a felonious meet-cute, a robot reindeer, a disastrous marriage proposal, as well as Iggy’s obsession with work and an act of infidelity that forces Holly to break off their engagement.
Holly confronts Iggy’s ghost in the present, leaving them both wondering if forgiveness is possible.
On Iggy’s last day alive, the couple rekindle their connection at a Christmas party where Iggy reveals he's left his job to find true purpose. Their moment is interrupted by Holly’s best friend going into labour, leading to a wild rush to the hospital.
In the present day, midnight strikes, and they say their final goodbye. The film ends as Holly's apartment fills with loved ones, and her Christmas tree, now decorated, symbolises her newfound sense of hope.
