Sinopsis

Years ago, Lolo watched her husband die in the brutal political struggle to become the Igwe of their village. The trauma was unbearable. Fearing that the same forces that killed her husband might one day target their only son, she fled with the boy and vowed never to return.

For years, she raised him far away — quietly, safely, and in constant fear of history repeating itself. But as her son, Obinna, grows into a young man, he begins to ask questions about his roots, his father, and the people he never knew. Realizing she cannot hide the truth forever, Lolo makes the difficult decision to take him back to the village — just for a short visit — so he can know where he comes from.
