In a time of war and plague, knight Edward Carnifex (Jonah Hauer-King) kills a landowner, marries his daughter Eleanor (Kristine Froseth), and vows to avenge the very crime he committed. When he betrays her, Eleanor returns from the grave to destroy him, ensnaring his squire Richard (Leo Suter) and her sister Beatrice (Ellie Bamber) in her vengeance.
From Anna Biller (The Love Witch) comes a Technicolor fever dream of beauty, betrayal, and supernatural retribution — a gothic horror where justice wears silk and blood.
Inspired by Yotsuya Kaidan, Japan’s most famous ghost story.
