Sinopsis

Los Angeles, The City of Angels. A place of neighborhoods, hidden spaces, and countless ways of living. This feature-length travel documentary invites viewers to experience Los Angeles through the eyes of people who call it home, exploring how culture, food, community, and the natural environment come together to shape the city's identity today.

Guided by Cameron Mathison and Tiana Pongs, the journey begins in Altadena, a place connected to Cameron's own life and to the reality of wildfires and climate change in California. From there, the film moves through the city's restaurants, local makers, coastal paths, gardens, creative studios, and community-lead sustainability efforts. Each location reflects a different way Los Angeles is adapting, preserving, and reimagining how to live well. The film also includes a visit to Santa Monica with Phil Brock, whose community perspective adds depth to how public spaces, cultural heritage, and environmental stewardship shape daily life.

Through intimate conversations and grounded, cinematic visuals, Wanderlust: Los Angeles reveals the city as a living landscape of flavor, innovation, nature, and memory. It is an invitation to look beyond the clichés and experience Los Angeles as a place where real people build meaningful lives every day.
