Synopsis

Grouchy retired Gabriel’s world is upended when his son and his stepdaughter return from Colombia with Quinaya, a six-year-old girl they adopted during a humanitarian mission after an earthquake. Initially reluctant, Gabriel gets to know the little girl and gradually becomes a doting grandfather, rediscovering a zest for life he thought long lost. But this fragile new family is shattered when authorities send Quinaya back and place his son in custody over adoption issues. Listening to his heart, Gabriel, who has never travelled in his life, decides overnight to take a plane to Bogota, on a desperate mission to bring Quinaya home. There, he meets Paul, an eccentric Belgian searching for his own daughter, who has been missing since the earthquake. Together, the unlikely duo embarks on a chaotic road trip through unfamiliar territory, chasing the little girl who thawed the old man’s heart… all while Paul’s spectacular clumsiness turns every step into an adventure. A heartwarming and lightly comic tale of love, family, and courage, proving that it’s never too late to become the hero your family needs. A funny, chaotic, and incredibly moving journey that transforms his heart and his life.
