After losing his wife of over 50 years, a grieving widower attempts to ease his loss by resurrecting her memory into his artistic drawings, creating a world that may seem crazy to his family but helps him live happily without his beloved.
Alone and deeply depressed, Lee Emerson, 70's, decides it is better to end his life and be with his beloved than to continue living without her. The problem is his family believes his own "right to die" and happiness is outweighed by his continuing responsibility to his children and grandchildren who need him now more than ever.
As a result, Lee stumbles upon a half sketched drawing of his wife in her younger years. His heart is warmed as he finishes the drawing he started 50 years ago when the couple were young and in love. This leads him on a new challenging journey that he and his family never envisioned.
