Architect Wen Xin returns from Singapore to his hometown to relocate his mother’s ashes. He gets involved in the old town renovation project and reunites with his former lover Li Mei. Estranged from his father, who works in a columbarium, he resents his father’s occupation and stubborn refusal to move (which he blames for his mother’s death). Finally, amid his hometown’s changes, he reconciles with his father and understands family love and nostalgia.
