Synopsis

Serhii, a 30-year-old gas station attendant and run-of-the-mill loser, gets hit by a truck due to a mistake made by the angel of death: Mickey the cat. The divine forces are ready to give Serhii a second chance, but in order to return to life, he must have at least one person who needs him. Alas, Serhii is completely alone. Mickey the cat, himself facing his father's wrath and expulsion from both his job and from heaven, tells Serhii about his own father, who left the family when Serhii was eight. This looks like a chance for both of them! The search leads the two to the frontline, in the ranks of the Chop Pirates battalion. Everything in Serhii's life reaches a boiling point: love, betrayal, friendship, adventures, and trials. The character doesn't end up finding his father, but he eventually matures and finds a father in himself.
