Klaus Härö is one of the most successful Finnish filmmakers. One of his latest films “The Fencer” (2015) was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and shortlisted for an Oscar®. His first feature film “Elina” won the Crystal Bear in Berlin 2003 and Ingmar Bergman prize in Sweden 2004. He has directed six feature films. Four of them have been Finnish national entries for Oscars®.
James Cosmo plays the lead role of a retired seafaring captain. Cosmo has starred at films like “Braveheart”, “The Chronicles of Narnia” and in the TV-series “Game of Thrones”. His counterpart is played by Bríd Brennan. She won IFTA and the TONY AWARD for ‘Best Actress’ for portrayal of Agnes in “Dancing at Lughnasa”. Catherine Walker recently worked with Ridley Scott on “House of Gucci” and gave a stunning performance in the cult feature film “A Dark Song”
