Shot on location on the Normandy coast, ONLY WHAT WE CARRY follows former Moulin Rouge creative director Julian (Pegg), holed up in a seaside villa with his publisher, John (Tarantino), as he struggles to finish the memoir that could define him. When one of his former dancers, Charlotte (Boutella), arrives with her sister Josephine (Gainsbourg), long-buried tensions soon rise. As sparks fly between the married Josephine and the still-grieving John, Julian and Charlotte are forced to confront the professional (and personal) truths of their tumultuous past, in this flirtatious, sharp comedy-drama about the irresistible pull of unfinished business.
