Born into one of the most prolific surf gangs in history, a sixteen-year-old Makua Goldman is faced with the decision of whether to follow his father’s shoes or his dream of becoming a big wave surfer.

Paradise is an hour-long serial narrative that functions as a layered family crime drama set in the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. The beating heart of the series centers on a sixteen-year-old boy. Makua was born into one of the most prolific gangs in history, and the inner turmoil he is faced with, whether to fill his father’s shoes or carve out his own path and chase his dreams of becoming a big wave surfer, all while attempting to be a normal teenage kid.

Scenes from the pristine North Shore of Oahu, sown into the history of the Hawaiian underworld, "Paradise," cinematically portrays the counter-culture and social issues of modern Hawaii. Keeping modern local legends alive while writing a new Hawaiian history for future generations to come.
