Mercedes Sosa was and is the voice of Latin America. She sang and protested against the military dictatorship in Argentina in the 1970’s.
Sosa was exiled to France due to her profound dissenting voice. This film documents her homecoming tour, as she traveled through Argentina and performed for thousands of enthusiastic fans.
She was not only a singer, she was the voice for the poor people, the workers, and the campesinos. In 2009, her three-day funeral drew more than 300,000 people to the House of Parliament in Buenos Aires.
