In a small coastal fishing village, Plakao, a kind-hearted but clumsy girl, lives with a strange gift she can see and communicate with the dead. The villagers think she’s crazy, but all she wants is to follow in her late father’s footsteps and become an undertaker who helps lost souls find peace.
One night, while practicing funeral chants to send spirits to heaven, Plakao mispronounces the sacred incantations and instead of guiding one ghost to the afterlife, she awakens every ghost in the cemetery.
Soon, her quiet village turns into a hauntingly hilarious battleground between mischievous spirits and terrified villagers. Things take an even stranger turn when the ghosts fall in love with her each trying to win her heart in their own ridiculous way.
But Plakao only has eyes for Thale, a gentle and handsome fisherman who believes in her when no one else does. Together, they try to restore balance between the living and the dead until fate forces Plakao to make the most painful choice of all.
The day she finally earns the title of undertaker is also the day she must say goodbye to the man she loves most.
