Sukma follows the haunting journey of Arini (Luna Maya), a mother seeking a fresh start in a quiet small town with her son, after the collapse of her marriage to Hendra (Fedi Nuril). Hoping to rebuild her life, Arini finds solace in a new relationship with Pram (Oka Antara), and together, they move into what they believe will be a peaceful new home.
But their hopes for a happy life soon unravel when they discover a hidden room in the house—inside it, an ancient mirror. From the moment the mirror is found, the atmosphere in the house shifts. Unexplainable events begin to occur: eerie whispers, shadowy figures, and unsettling apparitions that invade their daily lives.
Tension escalates with the arrival of Ibu Sri (Christine Hakim), an elderly woman who initially seems kind and harmless. But as her past slowly comes to light, Arini uncovers a disturbing connection between Ibu Sri and the cursed mirror that has begun to torment her family.
Matters grow worse when Hendra, Arini’s unstable ex-husband, reenters her life, bringing with him a cloud of emotional chaos. As supernatural forces tighten their grip, Arini must confront both the demons of the past and the evil rooted in the mirror, racing against time to unravel its dark secret and protect the ones she loves.
Sukma is a chilling tale of trauma, possession, and a mother’s relentless fight to save her family from a terror that defies reason.
