The film tells the real story of the Kazakh scientist, writer and public figure Adi Sharipov, who was one of the first to lead a partisan movement during the World War II. The events of the film take place at the beginning of the war and show his battle path from the first battle to the tragic wound. Lieutenant Adi Sharipov, together with his platoon, cover the withdrawal of the regimental headquarters and remain surrounded, behind enemy lines. Fear of the unknown haunts the fighters until they realize that waiting and inaction will kill them faster than the enemy bullets.
