Lieutenant Vic Webber, front-line surgeon stationed on the Island of Saipan in Japan during World War II must evacuate his hospital full of wounded American soldiers while defending himself against enemy soldier during the height of the Battle of Saipan.
With the hospital soon overrun by invading forces and finding themselves low on ammunition, Webber and the surviving soldier must escape into an active mine field in order to evade capture and certain death at the hands of soldier on a suicide mission.
